Lasagne is used to prepare a dish made with several layers of Lasagne sheets alternated with sauces and various other ingredients.
 

Shelf-Life:  For best results use Marco Polo Lasagne within 2 years after the manufactured date. The product should stored in a cool, dry place.

Cooking Instructions:  Add I tsp. salt and 1 tbsp. Oil to 3.7 - 5.6 liters of water (4 – 6 quarts) rapidly boil water. Gradually add desired quantity of Lasagne so that water does not stop boiling. Boil, uncovered, for 12 minutes Stir gently occasionally.

Uses: Marco Polo Lasagne can be prepared with your favorite meat or vegetable protein as a main course on those special occasions.

 Packaging:  Marco Polo Macaroni Shell is available in 450 grams packages. One serving size is 55 grams (2oz) dry.

Marco Polo Lasagna with Beef

INGREDIENTS

½ Pack MARCO POLO Lasagna
1 lb ground beef
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
1Large onion chopped
2 tblsp Olive Oil
1 16oz can whole tomatoes
12 cups of water
26 oz Can tomato paste
12 cups water
1 tblsp minced parsley
2tsp salt
1tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp Oregano leaves
1lb Ricotta or Cottage cheese
8oz Mozzarella cheese,
shredded or thinly sliced
1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese

PREPARATION

  1. In a heavy saucepan, sauté garlic and onion in heated oil. Add ground beef and brown lightly, breaking it apart will fork. 
  2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, pepper and oregano.  Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
  3. Cook Marco Polo Lasagna following package directions. Drain.
  4. In 33x23x5cm baking dish, spread a thin layer or the ground beef meat sauce. Then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce. Ricotta or cottage, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. End with the final layer of sauce. mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake at 177 • c (350 · F) for 40 to 50 minutes. Until lightly brown and bubbling.  Allow to stand for 15 minutes.  Then cut into squares and serve.
